Clack does not collect, store or share any personal data.
What stays on your device. Your messages, channels and settings are stored on your device, and on iPhone in a container shared only with Clack’s own widget. Passwords and API keys you enter for channels such as Mail or YouTube are stored in the system Keychain on your device.
What leaves your device. When a channel needs data it contacts that provider directly from your device: Open-Meteo for weather, ESPN for scores, GitHub, CoinGecko, Yahoo Finance, Transport for London, Hacker News, Wikipedia, or your own mail server over IMAP. Those requests are subject to each provider’s own privacy policy. Clack has no server of its own and nothing is routed through OCTOBER.
Calendar and Reminders. Only read if you add those channels, only to show what is next on the board, and never sent anywhere.
Local network. If you switch on “Accept messages on this network”, Clack listens on your local network so other devices you own can post to the board. Nothing is exposed to the internet.
Analytics and tracking. None. No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs.
